Highline Trail Rehabilitation  -  Horton Creek Trail repairs  -  Payson
The start of the Horton Creek Trail off the Hatchery road needs some fixes. We will bring in the ST240 to help us rebuild the high water crossing just past the start of the trail. We will base at the fee campground (no fee to volunteers) at the trailhead. One day a small crew will drive up toward the Hatchery trailhead to rebuild some cairns where the Highline Trail passes over slick-rock. Meal support, prize draw, Bonnie Rait (invited). Hike the Horton Creek Trail on Sunday.
There will be an additional half-day of work on Friday before. More about that later.

The campground has picnic tables, fire rings, and toilets. Not suitable for monster RVs. VOAz will provide continental breakfast Saturday, Saturday dinner at Kohl Ranch, and Sunday breakfast.

This rut will be loosened with an excavator and paved with medium sized rocks (ala Joe).
