Saguaro National Park East Weedwackers  -  Buffelgrass Removal  -  Saguaro National Park - Rincon Mountain District
Join Saguaro National Park in the manual removal of buffelgrass from infested Park lands.
Please follow the posted parking signs to a small dirt lot beside our Natural Resources building. We will convene in front of the Rincon Mt. District (eastside) Visitor Center of Saguaro National Park and then carpool to the work site. We ask that all participants come prepared for a day in the field (long pants, sturdy shoes, hat, sunscreen, WATER). The Park will provide tools and gloves for the days project, as well as ample training. We are going to work at the Freeman Homestead buffelgrass patch, a massive task that we have been chipping away at for several months now. There is a short hike (approx. 1 mile), both on and off trail, to get to the worksite. Please be prepared for this added exertion.
