The Phoenix Trails  -  Rock Armoring  -  South Mountain Park
Rrock armoring to stabilize hillside soils. Step 1: Shape face of slope; Step 2: Build a solid base course; Step 3: Apply rock facing. Fairly easy, fun, and impressive once completed. About forty feet of four foot high armoring to be done.
Check-in between 7:30:AM and 8:00AM. Bring your own sandwich or other "main course" and we will have chips and fruit. Bring water, gloves and wear hiking boots. Easy three quarter mile walk to work area--a ramp recently built to pass through a deep wash. Work until done or completed, which ever comes first.
