What to wear and bring
• 2 quarts or more of water to carry with you
• Bring rain gear and warmer clothing, if that is what the forecast indicates.
• Print-out of directions
• Sturdy shoes
• Sun protection (wide brim hat, loose clothing that covers your limbs, sun screen).
• Work gloves - additional gloves will be available on site
• Additional water will be available on-site
• Any meals not provided by VOAz or Host
• Camping gear (Contact Event Mgr.if you need loaner gear) - Camper's Gear List
• If you have special dietary requirements beyond vegetarian, please bring your own food or ask if cook is able to accommodate your needs.
• Long pants and shirt sleeves are recommended.
• Snacks to help you make it to lunch time.
• VOAz provided meals do not include eating utensils, plates or cups, unless otherwise noted.
• A boat for the regatta on Sunday!

A minor who is not accompanied by a parent or guardian must bring a completed Waiver and Medical Release for Minor. Blank copies of these forms will be available at the event.

Physical requirements to participate
should be reasonably fit, able to hike a few hundred yards at high elevation, and be able to use at least a light tool (rake or similar)

Camping / Accommodations
camping on grassy area, bathrooms (running water, no showers)

Always notify your Crew Leader of any injury, even minor ones.

Paved roads.

How to get there
From Phoenix, drive north on I-17
Take exit 293 east through McGuireville
Follow signs to Montezuma Well, four miles on Beaver Creek Road
Look for VOAz signs once inside the Monument

From Flagstaff, suggest same exit (293). There is access off ext 298, but that involves some dirt road travel.

Additional Information:
Montezuma Well Regatta (xth annual)
Location: Two points will be selected along the canal that runs through the picnic area. If you haven’t been to Montezuma Well, the width of the canal at this point is about 1 foot with a few spots widening to 2 or so.
Boat Rules: Store bought or handmade, non-motorized, no more than 4 inches wide to allow for multiple boats in a confined space. We may need to have a couple of heats with winners from each heat going on to the final race.
Prizes: for winner and most creative (can enhance a store bought boat)
